Scoutbook Invitations Went Out YesterdayAs many of you already know, we are now using Scoutbook! For those of you who haven’t heard, We are no longer using Troopmaster and have switched over to Scoutbook. Scoutbook is the BSA’s online unit management tool that helps Scouts, Parents and Leaders track advancement and achievements. It’s important to note that only the parent (or guardian) can invite their Scout to gain access to their own Scoutbook account. First the invitation is sent to the parent then the parent can invite the Scout to have access if the parent chooses to do so. I’ve already sent out invitations within the troop. If you haven’t received your invitation it may be due to outdated email information currently on file. If you already have a my.scouting.org account you’ll need to update your email address there. Scoutbook doesn’t give me access to change or update adult email accounts. I noticed that many adult leaders do already have Scoutbook accounts but haven’t logged on in several years. If you already have an account, I’m not able to send you a new invitation. You would just need to log in. There’s a “forgot my password” link if you need it.
