11 Years Ago – September 11, 2001

Eleven years ago today, a group of closed-minded men shocked the world by crashing 3 full-loaded passenger airplanes into the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon. Only the sheer courage and selflessness of the passengers aboard Flight 93 saved the White House from attack.

These acts showed America what ignorance and hatred can lead to.  However, we also saw the Best that mankind can offer through the sacrifice of New York City’s first responders and everyday, common Americans. Many of those whose gave their lives were once Boy and Girl Scouts, and truly lived up to the Scout Oath and Law.  Think about those words that we repeat every Tuesday night, and imagine how the world would differ if everyone lived up to those standards.

As you go about your day today and every day, make sure to thank every Police Officer, Firefighter and member of the American armed forces that put their lives on the line so that we can enjoy our God-given freedoms.

God Bless America!
