“Scouting’s Journey to Excellence” is the BSA’s new council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It is replacing the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA.

The text of the JTE can be found on the Gulf Stream Council’s website under Forms or at the BSA website.

The JTE for Troops is broken into three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Part of the JTE is the training of adult leaders and committee members.

• Bronze: Have the Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters, and a committee with at least three members with all completed:
  • This is Scouting
  • Fast Start training
  • Youth Protection training

  or if new leaders, within three months of joining the troop

• Silver: Bronze level plus
  • Leader Specific Training

  or if new leaders, within six months of joining the troop

• Gold: Silver level plus hold youth officer elections and installations before Nov. 15th

The JTE will be turned in when we recharter. Help us get the GOLD by taking your training now. Print out the completion of training and give it to our advancement chair as documentation.
